My vision for the Lancaster County Treasurer’s Office is an office where experience guides decisions; procedures and information are consistent; communication is clear; records are accurate; leadership is accountable; and services are accessible to the people who rely on them.
Residents should be able to find the information they need before they arrive, receive help when they need it, and complete transactions without unnecessary repeat trips. Employees should have clear procedures, current information, and the tools they need to provide dependable service. My goal is an office that works efficiently, communicates clearly, uses taxpayer dollars responsibly, and continues looking for practical ways to improve service.
- Clear procedures and reliable information. I will promote written procedures, current resources, and consistent communication so employees can provide residents with accurate answers.
- More accessible service. I will work to expand appointment availability and service windows, including full-day downtown title transactions, so residents have more opportunities to receive help.
- Accurate records and proper revenue distribution. I will prioritize accurate motor-vehicle tax-district information so revenue is distributed to the appropriate jurisdictions.
- Easier transactions and better online information. I will improve access to forms, requirements, and service information, and support electronic document submission when it is eligible and appropriate.
- Open communication and useful feedback. I will provide updates about changes and services, create opportunities for resident feedback, and value employee insight into ways the office can improve.
- Responsible and accountable leadership. I will make informed decisions based on the responsibilities of the office, use taxpayer dollars responsibly, address concerns directly, and follow through when action is needed.
