My goal is to make the Treasurer’s Office easier to access and easier to use.
I will work to expand appointment availability and open more service windows so more residents have opportunities to receive help. I also plan to make title transactions available at the downtown Treasurer’s Office throughout the full business day, giving residents another location and more time to complete title work.
Better use of technology can make transactions easier to complete. When an eligible document can be provided electronically, residents can send it directly to the office and employees assisting them can have access to those documents.
More continuity during a transaction can reduce the need to start the process over. When someone only needs a few minutes to locate proof of insurance or obtain another document, there can be more flexibility to continue the transaction. For more complicated transactions that require additional steps or a return visit, employees can build on work that has already been completed whenever possible.
Online information can be easier to find and use, allowing residents to quickly find what applies to their specific transaction, what documents they may need, and what options are available without searching through multiple pages.
I also plan to use additional communication tools, including social media, to share updates, reminders, and direct links that can help residents prepare before coming into the office.
